About

Gabriella Treutle is a classically trained mezzo-soprano originally from South Florida. She is currently completing her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance at the Hartt School of Music where she is entering her senior year. From a young age, Gabriella developed a deep love for music, and her passion for opera began the moment she was first introduced to the art form. Since then, she has been devoted to exploring the rich emotional and technical demands of operatic performance.

At Hartt, Gabriella has had the ability to refine her vocal technique and dramatic expression through training and guidance from her voice teacher, Valerie Sorel, and her coach, Eric Trudel. She is particularly drawn to repertoire that allows her to bring truth, power, and artistry to the stage.

In the spring of 2025, Gabriella spent five months studying opera abroad in Milan, Italy, where she gained meaningful international training and artistic development. While immersed in the heart of operatic tradition, she performed in a variety of historic venues, including Casa Verdi, and studied under renowned Italian instructors. Enrolled in an intensive Italian language course, she further connected with the culture and deepened her understanding of the language’s integral role in the art form.

In addition to her academic studies, Gabriella is actively involved in Hartt Opera Theater productions, the Hartt Choir, masterclasses, and more. On breaks from school, she returns to South Florida to sing at various churches for weddings, funerals, and other special events. Looking ahead, Gabriella plans to pursue a Master of Music in Vocal Performance, continuing to refine her craft and expand her artistic reach. As she continues to grow as an artist, she remains dedicated to sharing the transformative power and enriching value of opera with audiences everywhere.
